Boom!
Fryar looks like a RT to me based on athleticism and abilities.
Situational Awareness is my problem with Knowles. I think he can improve, but I agree man free or cover 1 is not a great call up 14 in the 3rd or 4th quarter. Why not call some quarters or cover 2 and keep everything in front of you. Let them run the football at this point. Let them burn up clock if they want to do that. But do not give them a chance to get behind you. I'm not saying "prevent defense," but play zone and keep them from striking fast.
I'm still burned up about that call. He gets paid to know what the situation is and make a wise call.
Guessing Frye or Hartline have the OC role next year, but an analyst, yessir. Why not bring him in to freshen things up a bit, add or tweak some concepts, etc. He's a great offensive mind. I'm sure we would not be the only ones reaching out for him to join as many HC would love to have him on staff. I bet we'd have some deep pockets for him though.
Love that Cade is coming back.
I have to wonder if there is an impending transfer. Scott would seem frustrated in his OSU role. WR to TE that hasn't emerged yet. Not saying, just wondering
I'm not worried about any of the scholly RBs leaving. Now Caffey, dude balled out and doesn't have a scholly. He'd be one I think would be in the portal if that doesn't happen for him in the spring. Go get school paid for and get you that NIL money too while you're at it young Buck.
Correct if I'm wrong, but there is still a signing day in Feb, right? Is it possible we add to this class between now and then? Are there still any interesting prospects out there left unsigned in the class we might go after? Do we consider transfer portal signees part of the class, now?

Once the dust clears and the fax machine is quiet, what will we still need to complete the 2023 class?
What will we need from the portal to be championship caliber in 2023 as well?
I would assume OT, LT especially. CB seems obvious as well. We resolved LS, but are we OK with our PK next season? Any other insight on players leaving early that could leave a hole in the roster (Eich, Wypler, Ransom)? Do we take a young QB in the portal or search for an unheralded recruit to round out the roster?
Yep that's my point. We still didn't believe that early in the game. We did later and we were champions because of it.
In 2014 we went into the Sugar Bowl believing we could not run against Alabama. When Zeke broke off a long one, hurdling a guy down the sideline, you could see the coaches still didn't believe we could run. It was just a fluke play. When we ran for a TD right up the middle, we started to believe. We started feeding Zeke and he went off! 85 yds through the heart resulted from our feeding him over and over. We broke Alabama's defense by the end of that game.
But it took us trying to run and believing what we were seeing. I hope this is our approach in the Peach Bowl, to try to run the ball and keep doing it even if there are some failures. As long as we have some success, we have to keep doing it and not abandon the run altogether. It pays off late in the game.
Please throw him the ball in Atlanta!
I want to see Chip and Chop! Hayden needs more time to learn and get bigger and learn to pass block. I'm not sure we'll see Henderson again. Just got a feeling
Did you watch Hayden whiff in pass pro? That is why he was limited IMO. It's OK, he's a frosh. He'll get there. Most frosh don't do well in pass pro until they learn.
