Yeah, I hope he does great things and makes the best of the opportunities he’ll receive here eventually (hopefully) leading to a chance to get drafted. Just thought I’d throw some context out to those who were going to #Boom this comment section up.

I was just throwing stats out for it to be known. It’s a depth decision and adds some experience to the room. I wish nothing but the best for him.
Dude allowed 8 sacks and 28 pressures last season…
Or bringing back threadjacking!
Yep, too bad we didn’t take Oyster’s advice and go to bed at halftime for this one.
I absolutely believe that it is! Easy access to breaking news, it immediately comes to your phone. Asking questions to the POD, participating in the polls, all of the recruiting news, presser bullets as they happen. It’s $4 a month that I’d spend in a much less productive way otherwise.
Doug is awesome, I’m a daily listener and text subscriber for Buckeye Talk and can’t recommend it enough to anyone that doesn’t listen to the pod.
The play-calling was that of a coward. I refuse to watch a coach who is scared of his athletes making plays/mistakes.
I'll start by admitting I don't know the rule.. so take it for what it is worth, it seemed like Gus and Joel saw the foot cross over but then mentioned how it was because he crossed over to the gap on the other side of the center and when the center fell backwards is when the flag came flying out. Again, no clue if it is legitimate or not but that's what I saw.
Yeah I’m not either by any means. I think you’re right with the wave off. They were prepared and looked like they spent the off season getting coached by a guy making $2,000,000, I’m really happy with their performance and it was nice to not be terrified every time they came on the field for the first time in awhile.
I can guarantee teams won’t blitz both safeties and leave him one on one again, if that would’ve been JSN we don’t score that touchdown on the seam. He would’ve at least been double covered.
It’s hard for me to tell what the exact call was. Looked like their feet were buzzing while they read the play. Once they saw the pulling block and everyone else down block they filled the gaps knowing the run was coming at them. It left their RB with no choice but to hit the cut back and it was plugged too. Good play by the D.
I think he made responsible decisions which shows how much he’s grown over just a couple of seasons. He knew the offense was shaky and he held back his internal instinct to force the ball down field. His offense wasn’t perfect but it showed up when it mattered and he didn’t put them in a bad spot by making the wrong calls. I thought Day did what he could with what he had going for him last night.
Dollar signs.
Just throw the entire computer in rice, that should do the trick!
He’ll be just fine. If I could give any advice I’d say make sure you let him know to scream as loud as he possibly can when he is told to and that will save him most days.
I always appreciate the times we’ve gotten together before games! You’re a great dude, Doc!
Lol, no. We have far more unique ways to make their training difficult, no need for any name other than Recruit and last name.
I’m around, Shawnee. I’m a drill instructor at Parris Island nowadays so work keeps me too busy to comment as much as I’d like. Hope all is well with all of you!
It’s funny you mention that, not saying conspiracy but when I watched it live I actually said “what the fuck was that?!” I was clueless and now I’m glad I wasn’t alone.
If they score it will always be reviewed, however, if it’s fumbled and picked up by Clemson and subsequently ran all the way to the one yard line I guarantee it isn’t reviewed.
Well, I’m not a pro or professional. It was an absolute bullshit call. A referee with the best view in the house threw the bean bag as soon as the ball popped out. There was no question in his mind. He’s paid A LOT of money do make that call and he made the right one. There is nothing, absolutely fucking nothing that was indisputable about reversing that call by their ref. In fact, I guarantee without a sliver of doubt that if Clemson scooped and scored on that play it would’ve never been reversed. Shit, I wish Fuller didn’t score because then it wouldn’t of ever been reviewed. If he catches that ball in the end zone it would’ve been a touchdown, not a dropped pass. How can you justify that?
Fortunately being a fan we don’t need to move on quite yet, us turning this into motivation for next year doesn’t help the team. It was wrong and it had a huge impact on the game. I’m not saying we win if the call stands but I sure like our chances a hell of a lot better.
FIU CS UM, how the mighty have fallen.
