And then taking all 12 seconds to put up a contested prayer at the buzzer. This is not a smart team. If not for the Rutgers "win" they'd have 1 B1G win and a .500 record. Holtmann: nice guy, poor coach.
Check Austin Aune who played QB at North Texas this year. 29 years old.
So because someone with a lot of money decides these players are worth giving that money to, that gives you the right to say whatever you want about the player. Makes sense.....
Stadium in Hawaii being renovated. Completely impacted the U. of Hawaii football team as well.
Congrats, Keenan.
It's unbelievable how often Ryan Day says "unbelievable." Is there anything he does believe?
You're probably right, but I also think he just might truly believe what he said. He's smart and he understands the pull and power of the Buckeye brand. If we're being honest, OSU has under performed relative to expectations especially since Meyer took over. More consistency on the national stage is the logical next step and OSU is the program best equipped to achieve that, as Paul said. But it starts with Day and this program making The Game priority number 1.
Not sure why all the DVs Kujo. I agree. Our 3 goals in order are: 1) beat TTUN 2) win the B1G 3) win the natty.
The Game was, is and always will be most important. ESPN and others want you to believe the CFP is the most important. Beat TTUN and we likely win the B1G. The B1G champ is almost guaranteed a spot in the CFP. Obviously the Bucks still made it this year, but it was out of their hands and they had to back their way in. Winning The Game takes care of many ailments and that will never change.
It was called the "not set the edge" defense.
Not only did he launch, AZ, but Harrison was defenseless. I mean, what the actual fuck are we doing here??
Guy suffers a concussion. Not targeting. USC-Tulane both guys get injured. Not targeting. Some random ass tackle in a game from Week 3 where all players involved pop up like nothing happened. Nope! You're outta here because that was a dangerous hit! What's the point of the rule if the fucking players aren't even being protected???
I'm just here trying to figure out what a "stoink" is ::Bosa shrug::
You can call it whining if it makes you feel better. I just call it how I see it. Sorry, not sorry, if that hurts feelings. I'd rather hear the cold, hard truth than continually giving out John Cooper vibes.
The players absolutely played their asses off and I'm proud as hell of every one of them. That was CJ's best game of his career. But unfortunately the defense shit that effort away by letting the team down in the 4th quarter for the 2nd game in a row. That falls on the guy in charge more than anyone else. OSU should be able to consistently field a reliable defense every year. They have not for the 3rd year in a row. That isn't asking too much with the resources and recruiting this program has.
Maybe a better word would've been reliable. I understand having a dominant D now days is unlikely with the way the game is played. But OSU should be able to field a reliable defense. That's not asking too much. A reliable defense doesn't give up multiple 4th quarter TDs in the 2 biggest games of the season.
Harrison was also defenseless. The announcers fucking even admitted that.
I wasn't throwing bait, just slightly disagreeing with saying a complete game. We are Ohio State. We should be able to go toe to toe with the best in the nation. Gotta start winning though or it doesn't matter long term. Still proud as hell of our guys though. Maybe one day we'll have a dominant D again.
If he needs his guys, he didn't do the best job landing them for the '23 cycle. I'm in wait and see approach with him. They got better overall but still folded in the 2nd half of the biggest games.
Great comment, however a bit of a disagreement. A complete game would've meant a stop on D in the 4th quarter, the $$ quarter.
Bet you cried the same shit before Miami '02 and Bama '14. GTFOH
Don't disagree, but the TTUN loss still hurts worse. JMO. This game was a much better effort but screw moral victories. We gotta get the W.
Wouldn't say it exactly like that, but yes the defense cost us the game. CJ was a DUDE without most of his top weapons and the D shit the bed. All that said, Georgia still has more overall talent and were playing a fucking home game. Proud of our guys but this does royally suck.
The 30 GAs in the booth paid off there
All that energy to go out and lose his 5th game of the year. Maybe that's why he's so mad?
It's a chance to watch another CFB game, which I will do and enjoy the hell out of.
Agree. This year's slate has been very entertaining. Very few lopsided games. Funny how opt outs aren't "ruining the sport."
I think Baylor has a Squirrel on their roster as well. Although in this day and age it might be the same guy.
I didn't bring up Day regarding NIL. He can only do so much, as you said. I brought him up to point out how his teams lack toughness and the ability to impose their will in the trenches. Two things Georgia and those shitheads up north excel at.
