Someone is going to take Dawand in the first. Can't teach his size and he has good athleticism.
Nike said he is the biggest jersey they had to make last year for college or NFL..

So I can put $500 on MH to win 25,000? I'll take that especially when a WR from Alabama just won it. Also since OSU doesn't have a returning starting QB with all the hype like when Fields, Haskins, and Stroud had going their Jr season after successful sophomore campaigns, Harrison is likely to get the hype. He's got the talent, the family name recognition, and there's not returning QB who just put up big numbers who is grabbing all the national media recognition.
It could actually happen and this bet is tremendous value.
OP is correct. Not the Stroud we were expecting, but Touché for keeping things lite..
Agree...real recognizes real
Daybis going to end up in the NFL at some point. He's been responsible for the development of Burrow, Haskins Fields and Stroud. At some point the NFL offers will be too much to turn down
Hartline has been uber successful at everything he does from OSU receiver to NFL receiver to running gas stations and drive-thru's and coaching. Day knows he going to kill it as OC.
Some guys just have "it" and Hartline seems to be one of those. What's the old saying? " Ths best make it look easy"?
That's Hartline. He's arguably been the best position coach of any position in college right off the bat in the last 4-5yrs.
Great move by Day promoting him
"She's a dandy. I'm gonna go out to the production room and have a drink. Be right back folks"
-Musberger
Brent Musberger would approve.
also better than constantly cutting the camera to Buckeye Guy and Big Nut, so I approve as well
Get dumped then, Georgia
I wish I could grow a mustache like that.
Whenever I try, the school my kids go to goes on lockdown when I go to the office to pick them up in the afternoon.
I always thought it disingenuous somehow that they're not "fully" buckeyes or officially part of the team until the black stripe is removed yet they call it the "brotherhood" as soon as they step on campus etc... just a random musings from a fellow OSU grad idk
Cool story reading Brandon.
Tim May is bad and his "what will the headline be in the Columbus Dispatch tomorrow" segment is cringy.
But I digress....no is cringier than Clay Hall; you can literally see the players holding back eye rolls and laughter when he barges into front of reporters, sweating and breathing hard only to ask a dumb question full of cringe
Did Tressel really like to kick FG and punt THAT much so as a guy like Gamble only had 2 total TD in 3 yrs? I thought that was a just a running joke in the "Tressel's least fav moment in the game" column
Hard to believe Gamble had only 2 total TD as a Buckeye. Ohio State didn't score much back then but it just seems absurd.
I agree. You always have to be honest with yourself and constantly be self aware. Iowa doesn't have the best talent but they don't have the worst either. To be that shockingly bad calls for major changes. The change has to happen immediately; sooner than later or you risk losing the defensive players and staff who feel that their efforts on D are taken for granted because the offense is not helping and it's the coaches son of all people whose in charge. That builds even more resentment as it leads to questions of "favoritism" and "impartiality" over results.
Then the staff and players on the defense side build resentment as they feel their jobs could potentially be at stake if Kirk gets fired.
Next you lose the locker room and the whole program needs rebuilt
Not sure how often rankings are updated but I find it unfathomable that ESPN has Carnell Tate as the 235th best player in the class and rivals has him 7th.
I'd also like to add how refreshing it is to see a reporter like Doug L ask hard questions. I rarely tune into coaches shows of pressers or call ins because it's always softball questions with generic answers.
"Hey coach do you think Marvin Harrison's 3td day will help his confidence going forward?". That's literally Paul Keels amd Jim Lachey every call in show. So good on Doug for keeping coaches accountable
I wouldn't hire my son or want to be hired by my dad in a position like that. It's one thing if it's a family business that can't be helped because you're born into it.
The offense is broken. It's awful and embarrassingly bad and the added pressure that it's family members is only exacerbating the situation. If I were the son maybe I would step down to ease the pressure off dad and the whole program. By stepping down people can at least give you the respect that you did the right thing and keep father from being humiliated by having to fire his own son.
Brian has failed. No shame in that. Lots of people fail initially. A lot of businesses fail. And plenty of good coaches have not had success initially for one reason or another. If Brian steps down at least everyone can respect him for doing the correct thing and acknowledging it and the program can move on. He'll get another chance
I mean you're right about Babb. And the same way about Fleming last couple years. Keep getting articles and interviews where it's all good and everyone excited about finally playing and coming back and then a "tweak" here and "strain" there and "slight setback in practice" but we "hope" to have them back soon etc...
Then before you know it the season is half over and new guys have stepped up and it's like the same thing again...just being honest lol
I'll believe it when I see it. Sorry to be skeptical but that's an honest opinion at this point. For two years we heard that Fleming was a "game time decision" and that usually meant he wasn't playing. Kept hearing the same about the RB's and it usually meant they weren't going to play. Who really knows about JSN....Day is always extremely vague about injuries and that's fine.
If JSN doesn't play va Iowa he's going to be rusty vs PSU.
Honestly at this point it feels like OSU has moved on. They have an amazing offenses and these new guys have carved out a role. Not sure you want JSN first game back to be vs PSU and risk him being rusty or trying to find the right rotation...
I very well could be wrong. I'm on record as saying JSN was the best returning player in America heading into the season. Not being negative, just an honest opinion and assessment.
Come to think of it I probably am wrong. I wanna see JSN play, dammit! It's just at what point is the rotation set as is and the guys are all playing really well and putting up huge numbers
**JSN has always played at an extremely high level in big games even going back to HS. That's a rare trait to be found and a sign of a truly elite player.
Dayton has been a good program. Ohio in general has excellent college basketball
Just wanted to say Miyan Williams reminds me of Maurice Clarett.
Claretts 1/2 combo mate was Lydell Ross, I believe. It was almost always just Clarett, though
I noticed Emeka doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He's very good at things like catching and running away from people that are trying to catch him
Welcome to Columbus! It's beautiful weather in the fall, campus is nice this time of year. Lots of stuff to do in the short north and downtown. Lots of bars in Dublin and downtown; friendly people. You'll like it here im sure. Welcome
You have to "embrace the suck" or you'll never be satisfied in life. Variance happens
"Scrubs" is a little harsh.
