20 win seasons in large part to beating all the cupcakes. Holtmann seems to be a quality person but is in over his head and should be relieved of his position. He is paid very nicely and is producing very sub par product. OSU is a sports entertainment product and Holtmann is the ceo. His failures are obvious with a long track record. Calling people morons because they can no longer support his leadership is your brand of moronic.

Eldon did recruit some very good players like Kellogg,Ransey and his class of Williams,Big Jim Smith etc. was almost the best in the nation that year. Eventually the recruiting really tailed off. Who could ever forget Rick Smith if you were around to see him play. Mr. Hustle!

Maybe the best arm talent but I cannot rate him much more than 3-5 because of questionable toughness and not willing to put himself out there to get those needed yards when available by scrambling for them.

I keep wondering when I read about these offers we are putting out why are we about the 20 or 30th school that has already offered and always behind Bama etc? I realize that being among the first few that offer does not guarantee anything but I would like to see us be among the first instead of way down the list. Are we slow to evaluate?

Once again Shookster has it right. The conference is way down and this was Holtmann's chance to sneak in ahead of the crowd. WRONG! He has them right where they always are at this point. Staggering and looking lost. At this point I regretfully say I want them to totally collapse towards the bottom and let Gene Smith have to make a decision to go all in or fold em up. Sueing's best step forward is his spot on the bench.

I am  always hoping the Buckeyes can win every game but now I really want this shitshow to extend as long as possible and force Gene Smith's hand to pull the plug. Yes, there will be transfers and loss of commits and the program may really suck badly for a year or two but it is like remodeling an old house and tearing out the rot. Put in new product and start over. I do not have any names as possible replacements but the job at Ohio St. has got to be very attractive and do not settle for the 10th choice like Smith did with Holtmann. The right amount of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ will get you a very good choice.
