Warren botched covid so badly that it almost seemed impossible not to be intentional.

The refusal to communicate basically with anyone - and then his first interview like he was lebron james.
Cancellation announcement out of the blue.
Announcement that it would not be revisited.
Inexplicable reinstating the season in October when it could have been reinstated several weeks earlier.
Rules allowing covid teams to cancel.
The rules to hold out players - which were much stricter than for the general public or the cdc.
Not changing the rules on covid once the cdc did change.
Dissing OSU players and family members by refusing to talk/meet with them.
Creating a way for scum to get out of a beat down.
Having such different rules that allowed AL to field a complete team and OSU missing 17 players for the NC game.

I'm sure I missed a few since this was from memory.
Warren is a dick that has the best interest of only one person in mind - himself.

I' also hear the argument he was just doing the university presidents bidding. That is bs. If I had a job and my boss was tarnishing my reputation that badly, I'd resign.

Good riddance.

I don't ever recall so many people playing a year 6 or 7 - hopefully a lot of that is the free covid year. And people are entering the transfer portal and offering themselves to the highest bidder.

Put some teeth into the transfer portal regulations and eligibility requirements making them stricter and I believe that fixes a significant portion of the nil fiasco.

Look at 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, and think about how one game in each of those seasons knocked the Buckeyes off their path toward winning a national championship.

Add to those 1957, 1961. 1969, 1970, 1973, 1979, 1996, 1998, 2006, 2007, 2012. That is 16 very legit chances to win it all over the past 65 years and we have 3 to show for it - so really - not much has changed. We are the 1990's Atlanta Braves.

Have been a Buckeye fan for decades and the near misses get harder and harder to take.

Kirby didn't have any trouble running up the score so his second team - especially QB - could get some real game experience. We need to try it.

Corum is coming back so harbaugh can run him 40 times a game and have him worn out for November. That should really help his draft stock for next year. But then again, perhaps harbaugh is playing 4D chess and plans to intentionally drive his draft stock down so he can draft him for whatever nfl team he ends coaching. LOL

Greene was an awful passer. He was a good runner and option quarterback. I was at OSU when he played and if memory serves me correct he barely completed 50 percent of his passes. I also think he had as many interceptions as he did touchdowns - or close.

It's already started. Texas AM exceeded the NIL cap last year and still owes NIL contracts to at least a dozen signees from the 2022 class who have become free agents and are looking to sign elsewhere. Meanwhile, Jimbo skirts the rules by poaching newly hired Nevada OC Bobby Petrino for the OC job at Texas AM in hopes of keeping a few of his free agents. Petrino agreed to take less in pay to help the TAM athletic department mitigate the cap issues but will receive as compensation a new motorcycle and a $5,000 gift card to Hooters. He is also under the burden of strict contract language which allows TAM to terminate his contract if he is caught more than three times dating anyone in the athletic department.

Couldn't agree more Stl. Over the years, we've been called 10 out of 10 times for targeting on hits even more suspect than that one. How that is not targeting is beyond belief. It may not have ultimately cost us the game - but it certainly didn't help us.

Watching the scum game - as much as I hate those ba$tard$ - they got hosed on 2 replay calls - one on the last play of the game for targeting - and again - if that wasn't targeting, I don't know what is. ... And a touchdown reversal, where it was called a TD on the field and reversed by replay. Receiver caught the ball and his knee went down with the ball just short but he was bobbling the ball at the time and didn't gain full control until he was well in the endzone.

I wish someone had the guts to start calling out these officials - announcing before the game - We are  already down at least 2 scores because of officiating so we need to be A LOT better than our competition.

I just rewatched that targeting reversal - it may not have changed the outcome - but how that was not ruled targeting is criminal.
I hate the targeting rule to begin with because of the way it is enforced or not and the replay officials must be required to start drinking 4 hours before the start of a game. It is so ridiculous.

OldTown - came here to post similar. If Day uses the jump from scum to GA - he will be fine.
I was a big fan of the Knowles hire to - I think it eventually pays dividends, but he shot himself in the foot over and over again the last two games - for no reason.

Hope he has learned as well.

If both use this season to make improvements in coaching, then I think this season will have been a success.

Kneelbender - thanks for this. Asking a legit question -
Under item 2, I think this is saying the moment the player actually is out of bounds is the moment any part of them touches ground beyond the out of bounds line. The ball is then placed at the spot the ball was in when the player touched down out of bounds.

If I understand this rule right, wouldn't the reversal have been the correct call?

It appeared the ball was nearly a yard past the first down marker when his foot hit out of bounds though the ball was clearly behind the marker when it crossed out of bounds before the foot hit?

Please clarify if I am wrong.

Thanks

I have been as critical as many here have been this year - but not last night. Could have made a few different calls but Bucks played their hearts out and lost. I really thought they were going to get blown out. You could tell by the comments after the game from Smart and Bennet, they knew they needed the luck on their side to win. If the coaching staff learned something, I'm looking forward to great things in the future. Go Bucks!!!

I always thought it was the position of the ball where any part of the ball carrier touched down out of bounds, That is why you see players extending the ball when they are running out of bounds. In this case, the ball carrier easily eclipsed the mark and the reversal was correct. As much as I hate it for the Bucks.
