I am very impressed with Bronny's development and work ethic. It was clear fairly early on, that he would never have his father's size and athleticism. He could have easily decided that since he would never be anywhere near as good as his father, that he instead should try another sport, or another passion like music or art.

Instead, he has willed his way into becoming a Top 50 player in his class, which several years ago many of us would scarcely believe. For those who think that Bronny is "average", Bruce Thornton was considered the #51 prospect in his class; would you rather have Bruce or Bronny?

If we're even suggesting that 35 of 54 passes for 484 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, is a "subpar" game for a Buckeye starting QB....sheesh!

CJ has been amongst the most criticized QB's in Buckeye history. In part, because let's face it, our program has never been stronger. But also, because of what I believe to be "other factors". Going back to his FIRST start against Minnesota, on the ROAD, in rain, his accuracy was questioned despite tossing 4 TD's. Those complaints only grew stronger following the loss to Oregon, because despite throwing for 484 yards and 3 scores, he was picked off in the game's closing moments, and of course, "other factors" (we also eventually learned that he hurt his shoulder in this game, which led to his subpar performance against Tulsa and week off against Akron).

I was there in the stadium during CJ's historic game for the ages in our Rose Bowl victory. I knew then and there that I was witnessing the best passing QB in Buckeye history. And although we didn't witness the Death Star type offense that we expected to see through stretches of this season, the TYPE of criticism that CJ endured was completely unwarranted.

I'm so happy that CJ showed all of us what he is able to do against the most elite of competition, and will now be able to continue to show us his amazing abilities on Sunday.

Go CJ!

Go Bucks!

My eyes did not "tear up" while reading this article; I straight up cried.

I can't imagine that any other website dedicated to college sports fandom, has a better writer than Ramzy. He is simply the best.

Go Kamryn! Go Ramzy!

Go Bucks!

I was in high school during his playing days, and would watch as many games on TV as I could, or listened to them on AM radio. Those teams were my first as a Buckeye basketball fan, and I've never stopped since.

Prayers up to his family and loved ones.

Buckeye Nation thanks you and will always remember your contributions as a person and player!

I was in the Rose Bowl when we beat the Utes 48-45. Although exciting, that kind of football is simply not sustainable.

What really impressed me was CJ's patience in this game. Despite all the pre-season accolades/hype/Heisman chatter, he refused to be baited into making mistakes, or forcing the action. No INT's or fumbles, and ran for another 2 key first down pickups. When ND did give him the look we wanted, it took just one throw for him to win us the game.

This speaks volumes about his maturity, and we will need this kind of mentality for us to get tough W's on our way to the Natty.

Go CJ! Go Bucks!

Do we know who is the scout team QB to simulate ND's Tyler Buchner? Dude accounted for SIX THOUSAND yards of offense his junior year of high school ball (4400 passing, 1600 rushing), so is a true dual threat.

I still have nightmares of:

  • Tajh Boyd (not the fleetest of foot) running 48 yards down the middle for a TD in the 2013 Orange Bowl
  • Trevor Lawrence (not the fleetest of foot) racing 67 yards zigzagging through our entire defense for the TD in the 2019 CFP
  • Cameron Rising (not the fleetest of foot) bumbling/stumbling 62 yards down the sideline for a TD in the 2022 Rose Bowl.

I hope we are taking these issues seriously.

Go Bucks! Beat Notre Dame!

I think Master’s best chance at success in the NFL is to be a 3rd down fullback/blocking back and pass catcher out of the backfield on swing passes. This will utilize his size, strength, and speed while minimizing his lack of quick burst/shiftiness between the tackles.
